Does CSS work with phplist?

Hopefully no one has asked this already. I've just been having non stop issues with phplist, and I'm exhausted. Installing it took me 5 hours after working through 4 bug fixes. Then I designed a message template and it didn't work. All the CSS got cut from the top. Epic fail. Please help?

How are you supposed to design templates/messages? Cascading Style Sheets? Just tables? Can someone take me under their wing a little? Or atleast throw me a frickin' bone here.

Thanks,

In depth: I go to "send a message" copy and paste my code in the "source" section hit save, and the CSS is removed.

Answer: Ah, I think the CSS has to be inline or in the body of the html to work, otherwise it gets cut. I could still use a mentor though.

p.s. Victory is mine!
