Problem with phplist install

I've done the first five steps in the install but when I get to number 6 I can't make it work. The URL it asks for, is that my overall domain one or something else.
Where in scheme of things do I find the lists/admin directory and what will it look like?

This is the wording I don't understand:
6. Go to the URL of the lists/admin directory of your Phplist installation. A web-based installer will walk you through the rest.

I've spent about 8 hours on this and am thoroughly frustrated. I hope some one can help me. I looked at the quick install guide here on the forum but still couldn't figure out the URL part.

Okay, so you've installed phplist on your server, presumably under yourdomain.com/lists/ ? That's your URL.

So to complete the installation, go to yourdomain.com/lists/admin

Hi,

I am having difficulty installing as well. I completed till step 5, on step 6 ie when i visit the /lists/admin/ page in my browser it just gives the directory listing of the admin folder. no errors.
there is no index.php in the admin folder as well.

I am using the latest phplist 2.10.10
i am using wamp server (PHP+MySQL), php version: 5.2.6

Are you doing this on your own PC as against a web based server?

Check that all the files from the lists folder within the phplist ZIP have copied across to your lists folder in wamp or on the web. Sounds like some are missing.

I've got the same problem, just gave a login screen after it set up the DB and I clicked continue installation...

Any ideas?

i am having the same issues with installation. after i upload the files when i go to lists/admin i only have a directory of files and not an installation walkthrough:
