Can phplist do pop3 over ssl?

Postby nelgni » 5:12pm, Fri 05 Oct, 2007

My server only runs secure imap and pop3 over ssl, no clear text passwords.

Before I even bother downloading and installing, will I be able to deal with bounced messages with pop3 over ssl? I've seen problems where people are unable to connect to port 995 on servers so I have to wonder...

Thanks

Did you try something like this in config.php?
Code: Select all
$bounce_mailbox_port = "995/pop3/ssl";

No, because as I said, I haven't downloaded it yet and there is no evidence on this site that phplist supports pop3 over ssl.

Has anyone tried this? I'd like to offer my admins a secure way of logging in. You wouldn't believe how much our newslists are attacked by bots and spammers. I'd feel more secure if we could allow them to signin or login without fear of their details being compromised.
