15 Custom Subscribe Pages & 7 Lists - PHPList is Awesome

Postby MarkA. » 6:34pm, Fri 06 Apr, 2007

I can't give enough positive praise for all the features and benefits of PHPList. This is just an awesome program.

I've recently added a new sign up page to my site and over 900 users have subscribed in the past 2 1/2 months. The one step sign up makes it so easy for people to sign up, they just have to! :D

Were it not for PHPList, I could never keep up with this surge. See one of my easy to use custom sign up page at this link: http://www.mississauga4sale.com/Power-S ... equest.htm

I've been able to customize all my thank you pages, for example: http://www.mississauga4sale.com/lists/? ... ribe&id=11

and then redirect to a final relevant page.

The newest version of PHPList is very stable and I'm having no problems emailing 1,000's of users 3 to 5 times per week with the throttling capabilities.

PHPList is the best program out there, hands down.

If you have any questions, you may always reply in this post or email me directly at phplist@mississauga4sale.com

All the best,
Mark

You should check your php IMAP module, and also the details and the $message_envelope variable.

Helly Herry,

In your subscribe pages section (..admin/?page=spage), choose edit a subscribe page and about half way down the page in the section titled "Message they receive when they subscribe" you may customize the message and same for the next section down titled "Message they receive when they confirm their subscription"

I hope this helps and all the best,

[DOMAIN]/?p=confirm&uid=??????????????????

How do you change this page? Right now, it's just a white page with:

Thank you for confirming your subscription to our newsletters. The newsletters you are subscribed to are listed below

* None of them

I want a custom page which I can frame into my current website.

Member ID gets dropped when going to next page.

Postby Andy12 » 11:28pm, Tue 27 May, 2008

After making few html changes to the page, what happens now is; that the member ID gets dropped so any new listing or ad posted by member do not show under their name.
Admin has to login and assign such listing to the member.
It used to work well before html changes.
Any thoughts?

Andy, sounds like you need to restore the original code, ie: before you made all the changes to the HTML and work though each change until you find the error in the coding.
My sites:- http://wharfedalefestival.co.uk, http://ilkleygardeners.org.uk, http://emergencyaid.net, http://dragonrider.co.uk
Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x

Mark,

I have figured out how to create redirects to custom pages, but can not figure out where to find the code to embed in the new confirmation, preferences, and unsubscribe pages.

Do you have any ideas?

Hi Mark, yours thread is a very useful resource, however it doesn't answer the question,

[DOMAIN]/?p=confirm&uid=?????????????????? is the page the a user lands on when clicking the confirm link in their confirmation email, steps 8 & 9 in your post explain how to edit the messages in emails during the confirmation process. This is easily changed in the subscribe page > transaction messages settings, but there are no options to change the page in question, can you shed any light?

thanks

Hello jajouka

I've not looked at these pages for about 7 years since that long post, but I just took a quick look and you need to edit the subscribe page in question, such as:

http://www.mississauga4sale.com/lists/a ... =(whatever your subscribe page number is here)

and then you will see the "Thank you page" and this is where you an edit the page in question.

Does this answer your question?

Thank you,
Mark

Thanks Mark, but I am not following you, I think part of you link was cut off. I think you were telling me that I have to edit a php file, is this correct? Thanks
