about this forum: can my attachment be saved?

Postby Res 55 » 12:58pm, Sat 28 Feb, 2009

I wrote a msg on the German Forum: Posting no 60146

And attached the newest tranlation-file I made.

Then I destroyed my file on my local machine and wanted to download it from this forum.

But I can not find the attachment. It seems that this forum does not allow them?

But I got no error message, when I uploaded the file. Could it be that an Admin is able to save this file and make it available for the community and me?

I'm afraid adding attachments to forum posts isn't possible. I'm not sure why it has been disabled by forum admins, but I suppose it may be related to addressing a possible security issue in phpbb2. I hope this wont be an issue anymore when the planned upgrade to phpbb3 gets implemented.

I agree that it would have been better if you'd got a warning when adding the attachment. I can't say whether or not the file has been saved somewhere on the forum server. I suggest you PM the current forum admins:
