Gmail spam - nobody at localhost

Postby jrubio » 11:49pm, Mon 05 Apr, 2010

Hello,

I have set up phplist, and it is working except for the messages to gmail which are going to spam. I have bounces working. I am also using SMTP, but the header is showing nobody AT localhost. I asked my ISP and they said they would change php.ini if it does not interfere with a shared environment. What is wrong? Incidentally, when I send messages to other addresses they do not go to SPAM, only the ones I send to gmail.

Please help.

Thanks,

J

You can make changes to your php.ini file yourself. I have had to do this to increase memory allocations on my server. It sounds like you are doing something to trigger google's specific spam filter algorithm.

Not always unfortunately, some hosts deny their users access to the php.ini file.

If you can access the php.ini file, or create one of your own, you are with a good host, be grateful! :D

Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x
