Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I couldn't find it (or post) in the FAQ.

I am currently looking for an alternative to Aweber. I know that a lot of people are using PHPList and I was wondering how this compares to Aweber.

Thanks.

Regards,
Michelle

I've used both, and both work. At first I was using aweber, but then found phplist. I know this is a phplist website and forum, but I can honestly say I prefer phplist over aweber. It just seems to work better and respond faster imo.

I'm very interested in saving $20 to $50 a month.

Is there a feature comparison list somewhere?

I am currently using Aweber, and I just recently discovered phplist. I am also very interested in a comparison list...

How does phplist compare to other email Autoresponders namely Aweber? Other than price.

Umm Wait. You are saying that you are going to send emails from your own hosting VS aweber? What if you had 10k emails to blast at once. Do you think your hosting would let you do that? Hightly unlikely. This is the problem with using your own hosted autoresponders. Maybe a dedicated server takes care of this but the price you pay vs Aweber or Getresponse doesn't make it worth it.

Hmm this has made the decision for me to go for PHPLIST as it has always been recommended to me but have always used Aweber.

Interesting. I have used both using Aweber and PHPList, and my overall verdict is that Aweber is a better option.

I look forward to seeing what veteran users have to say about this. Discovered PHPList yesterday after deciding that my business must eliminate the expense of Aweber which with a list of more than 100,000 subscibers is astronomically high. I'd gladly forfeit some functionality to utilize a free service such as PHPList.

I have used both but the big problem with Aweber is is very expensive. and the bigger your list the more you pay.

PHPlist doesn't have the same issue
