Blockage in php list 2.10.19

Postby grewe » 7:07pm, Sun 16 Feb, 2014

Running php list version 2.10.19 on Mozilla Firefox browser my system is not sending messages to about 30% of the members on my active list. My website is www.verslank.net.

It appears as if the problem started when my server limit of 1 000 messages per day was exceeded and is affecting those members on the list that were excluded, however, I am unable to trace the reason why these members are being bypassed and do not know how to rectify the problem.

There does not appear to be a setting in php list in respect of the problem addresses that is different to those of the members whose messages do get sent off.

Is this the same problem that you reported last year?

You then said that the users had been blacklisted. phplist does not send emails to blacklisted users, so you need to remove them from the blacklist, and I explained how and also how to check why they are on the blacklist, http://forums.phplist.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=39030&p=99391#p95353.

My apologies if I misled you, duncanc. Blacklist was just a description of the effect. It's still the same problem, the message is sent to a list of about 850 members, but when the process reaches a certain stage, it continues to attempt to send to the rest, about 230, but they never get sent. The same thing happens every time a message is sent to this particular list, apparently with the same adresses.

I am not able to identify which addresses are failing because all the settings seem to be identical.

I have two lists, both with about 850 members. The other one works fine.

If you enable verbose then phplist might give more information about what is happening with those email addresses.
Edit config.php and set this value to 1
Code: Select all
define ("VERBOSE",1);

Then send a test message to one of the problem email addresses, and phplist should display extra information about what it is doing.

Sorry, you have lost me. Where do I find config.php to edit? Also as I mentioned, I cannot identify the problem addresses.

What did you mean by this, if you cannot identify the problem addresses?

If you didn't install phplist yourself then you will need to ask the person who did to modify config.php.

There is no discernible difference in any of the listed addresses, which is why I am unable to tell which are the problem ones.

Thanks I will ask him.
