Hi,

I installed version 2.10.17 of phplist and would like to configure the SMTP server to Amazon SES.
According to the instructions displayed in the following link to Amazon

http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/SMTP.SoftwarePackages.html

I should specify the following information

Host Name-email-smtp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com
SMTP Port-465
TLS-Select this check box.
Your username username-SMTP.
Password-Your SMTP password.

In the config.php file I have specified the following values:

define ("PHPMAILERHOST ',' email-smtp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com ');
$ phpmailer_smtpuser = 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx';
$ phpmailer_smtppassword = 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx';

I do not know how to define the door and turn on tls.
If you have any ideas on how to properly activate the SMTP Amazon?

phplist uses a very old version of phpmailer that does not support secure SMTP. You'll need to manually install a more recent version.

See this topic regarding gmail, but the idea should work for you http://forums.phplist.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37079#p88805

I found, though, that upgrading phpmailer in this way caused message forwarding to break, so bear that in mind!

Hi, the best way to go would be to install the development version of phplist 2.11.6. it handles amazon ses out of the box, here is a guide to configuring it

Configure PHPLIST for amazon ses smtp

To be clear, which issue?
If it is about using secure SMTP in the first post then the topic I pointed at explains how to upgrade phpmailer.

Or are you using phplist version 2.11.6? If so, then this page seems to be the extent of the documentation on using Amazon SES http://www.phplist.com/?lid=515
