[solved] how can I delete messages from the queue?

Postby Breezy » 1:06pm, Sat 16 Aug, 2008

I accidentally queued an old message and now want to remove it from the queue without deleting the message. I cannot find a way unless it's that ..

I hit the "delete" option while in the queue (I haven't tried this because I didn't want to possibly delete the message)

Or maybe I go the log and hit del there.

Please advise and thanks for any meaningful replies.

I think what you need to do is go to Messages. There you should see three tabs, Sent, Draft, Queued.

Click on Queued, under status against your message you should see a Suspend link. Click this.

Seems to work on my test phpList installation.

Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x

Thanks but it doesn' work that way for me. In my version, version 2.10.5 (I think it's the current release) the message only appears in the queue tab and in the queue tab I can suspend the queue but not get rid of it. Thus it always stays in the queue even though it's suspended. Maybe I should look into the MySQL tables and see if can fool it that way ..

For others ..
I was able to edit the table "phplist_message"
and change the status of the message in question to "sent" and my problem was solved.
