How do I remove 'unsubscribe' link from subscribe page?

Postby igniter » 10:15am, Mon 03 Jan, 2011

Hello!
As shown on the picture, I want to get rid of the 'unsubscribe' link which appears on the subscribe page.
Personally I think is not the place for it there, after all the page has subscribing purpose.
If anybody can help, it's highly appreciative.
Thanks!

Hi !

I don't realy understand your problem.
Just remove the piece of code, responsible for that link and that's it !

Thats right, I am using it as a subscribe page on the website.
It's not very good to have that 'Unsubscribe' link on the page that actually users has to subscribe.
Thanks for the response!

Open /[home directory of PHPList]/index.php in an editor

Find this bit of code
Code: Select all
  $html .= '<div class="adminmessage"><p><b>You are logged in as administrator ('.$_SESSION["logindetails"]["adminname"].') of this phplist system</b></p>';
    $html .= '<p>You are therefore offered the following choice, which your users will not see when they load this page.</p>';
    $html .= '<p><a href="'.$GLOBALS['adminpages'].'">Go back to admin area</a></p>';
    $html .= '<p><b>Please choose</b>: <br/><input type=radio name="makeconfirmed" value="1"> Make this user confirmed immediately
      <br/><input type=radio name="makeconfirmed" value="0" checked> Send this user a request for confirmation email </p></div>';
  }
  $html .= '<table border=0>';
  $html .= ListAttributes($attributes,$attributedata,$data["htmlchoice"],0,$data['emaildoubleentry']);
  $html .= '</table>';
  if (ENABLE_RSS) {
    $html .= RssOptions($data);
   }
  $html .= ListAvailableLists("",$data["lists"]);

  if (empty($data['button'])) {
    $data['button'] = $GLOBALS['strSubmit'];
  }
  if (USE_SPAM_BLOCK)
    $html .= '<div style="display:none"><input type="text" name="VerificationCodeX" value="" size="20"></div>';
  $html .= '<p><input type=submit name="subscribe" value="'.$data["button"].'" onClick="return checkform();"></p>
    </form><br/><br/>
    <p><a href="'.getConfig("unsubscribeurl").'&id='.$id.'">'.$GLOBALS["strUnsubscribe"].'</a></p>
  '.$GLOBALS["PoweredBy"];
  $html .= $data["footer"];

and change this specific line:
Code: Select all
 $html .= '<p><input type=submit name="subscribe" value="'.$data["button"].'" onClick="return checkform();"></p>
    </form><br/><br/>
    <p><a href="'.getConfig("unsubscribeurl").'&id='.$id.'">'.$GLOBALS["strUnsubscribe"].'</a></p>
  '.$GLOBALS["PoweredBy"];

to this:
Code: Select all
 $html .= '<p><input type=submit name="subscribe" value="'.$data["button"].'" onClick="return checkform();"></p>
    </form><br/>'.$GLOBALS["PoweredBy"];

That should do the trick :)
