public pages code validation

I am doing some work (hacking the code) so as to make the public pages of phplist to cohere to the w3 validation standards. I'm currently checking against xhtml 1 strict.

Is this community interested in complying to standards and - if this is the case - is there a place I can submit these changes to the core code?
