Problems in spanish showing data in the emailfrom attributes

Postby mquintana » 7:31pm, Thu 08 Mar, 2012

Hello,

I just installed the lastest version of phplist (2.10.17).

There are some problems when I send the emails since one of the atributes are the name of the customers and they are in spanish... that is some of them having accents (á, é, í, ó, ú).

All the email content is OK except the [NAME] atribute. In the email is doesn't show the character having the accent

Both config.php and language_info are in UTF-8

For resolving your problem, there is a version which has been settled up for european languages in ISO which is ok for the special characters.
You can dowload it here :

Well it is written in french, and a small part is in english, but you should manage.
One point does not work : when you import text from winword and send messages in html, there is still an error with the character ' , that's all.

OK thank you!

I just resolverd it replacing accents by HTML entity references.. i.e. í = í then it works

I also downloaded this version you say, will take a look.. Is this unofficial version safe?

It is the official version.
But only two languages now have been kept : french and english.
If you want it with spanish, you only have to add all the files for spanish language in txt and under admin and also in fckeditor and in phppmailer.

In fact, with that version your special spanish characters will be ok.
