Huge mysql database, I can't see why

Postby Siruiz » 1:28am, Thu 30 May, 2013

Hi,

I have a some lists and about 200 thousand users, and I'm sending mails since about 2 months, in phplist 2.10.18 ,
My Mysql database is in about 6gb and growing very fast, even I deleting all the bounces it doesn't get much better. The configuration for "clicktrack" is set to 0.

Does anyone knows what can be causing this?

Thank you in advance,

Siruiz.

Using phpmyadmin, or similar tool, you should be able to see which are the large tables.

Possibly you need to optimize those tables that have significant unused space.

Thank you,

In what consists optmizing the tables?

Is there a way for me to backup only the lists with the users, and use it in a new installation of the phplist?

Cause that's the only information I need, all other information about the messages, etc, I record elsewhere.

Optimising the tables will release any unused space that exists after deleting records.

But have you looked at the database to see which are the large tables?
