How do I remove the PHP attachment on outgoing messages?

Postby Julie » 10:37am, Sat 17 Mar, 2007

I'm new to this. I have managed to successfully send a message with all features that I want except that there is a document that is automatically attached to all messages with the PHP logo in it. I understand that PHP would like to show itself up, however I think this looks odd to the recipient. The PHP logo is, after all, at the bottom of all messages.

Please advise how I can remove this attached file.

Many thanks.

Code: Select all
# We request you retain some form of credits on the public elements of
# PHPlist. These are the subscribe pages and the emails.
# This not only gives respect to the large amount of time given freely
# by the developers but also helps build interest, traffic and use of
# PHPlist, which is beneficial to future developments.
# By default the webpages and the HTML emails will include an image and
# the text emails will include a powered by line

# If you want to remove the image from the HTML emails, set this constant
# to be 1, the HTML emails will then only add a line of text as signature

You'll find this in the config/config.php file, hope that helps?

Thank you for your response. What about the attachment?

Thank you. How nice to see that you are in Ilkly - a part of the world that I know well.

I understand entirely that you must receive credits for all of the work that you have laid down and I see that credit is given in each message sent out (i.e. "Powered by..." line at the bottom of each message). However, I still do not understand how to get rid of the attached file to each message, which I think is counterproductive to spreading news about PHP. Basically, it makes it less appealing to the recipient to open the message at all. I would be very happy to show up PHP on my well-visited e-magazine at no charge, but I must be able to send out messages without an attached file containing the logo of PHP.

Thanks. Julie from Sweden
