Test smtp is working ?

Postby datarecall » 10:08pm, Mon 23 Apr, 2007

I setup to use smtp my config file is below:

define("PHPMAILER",1);
define("PHPMAILERHOST",'ssl://smtp dot fusemail dot net');
$phpmailer_smtpport = '463';
$phpmailer_smtpuser = 'login';
$phpmailer_smtppassword = 'pass';

The messages send however when i checked the headers on the message it looks like its using localhost to send the message.

Any help is appreciated. the messages arrive in the inbox but the headers do not look like they came from fusemail.

When using SMTP you should be aware of this bug report: http://mantis.phplist.com/view.php?id=8590

I put the fix in but still is sending using localhost... nothing shows up in eventlog. But by looking at my headers its not using smtp because smtp is a 3rd party provider.

Any help would be appreciated ive gone through almost every forum i could find.

Ah, yes. I don't think phpmailer supports SSL/TLS.

You mean whether a Swift Mailer class will be implemented soon as an alternative to phpmailer? I hope so, but I really don't know.
