Warning Message when importing into a list

Postby bobkaku » 4:37am, Wed 25 Apr, 2007

When I tried to import email addresses and some other attributes into a list, I received some strange warning messages.

Warning: Record has more values than header indicated (4!=3), this may cause trouble:

email -> bob@majesty.org
Firstname -> Robert
Lastname -> Kaku
hobby -> Cycling

The mapping summary says:

firstname Firstname
lastname Lastname
hobby hobby

I notice that email is not mapped to anything, although it is the first column in the tab-delimited file I tried to import.

I selected the "import emails with different values for attributes" option that I thought would automatically pick up the attribute types I defined in the first row of the file.

I clicked "confirm import." It seems that the import worked OK.

But why am I getting the warning message and what database table can I check to see if all the attributes are there?

Thanks in advance.

This seems to be consistent with a possible bug, as is mentioned in the docs:
Show Warnings: select this, but expect warning due to Mantis bug: http://mantis.tincan.co.uk/view.php?id=6275
