I cannot delete previous sent messages

Postby Dragonrider » 12:33pm, Tue 27 Aug, 2013

Like the title says, as of version 3.0.2 deletion of messages (campaigns) that were sent using a previous version of phpList can no longer be deleted.

Thankfully, Alan George has come up with a superb little hack (Only one file needs changing) that restores the option to delete sent messages.

I discovered that like you I could not DELETE a campaign that had been sent to my development test group (list). To solve this and to re-instate the Edit function at the same time I hacked the code a little.

If anyone is interested the code can be downloaded from the following address

http://www.alangeorge-photography.com/listCode_3x.php

Before applying this and any other hack Please make sure that all files and the database are backed up properly.

Regards

Alan

Thank you Alan.

There is also an excellent plugin available from DuncanC which not only allows deletion of old campaigns, but also allows copying, re-sending and editing regardless of the campaign's status.

Download the plugin here, this plugin also requires the latest version of Duncan's Common Plugin, available here.
