version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x

I have it defined as /tmp as I said in my post. Since my original post, I contacted my web host provider about the issue and he has "enabled /tmp access on this domain".
It is now working fine, and importing the emails.

Please let me know what the solution is for being able to import emails. I receive this message also:
The temporary directory for uploading is not writable, so import will fail ()
Where do I place this TMP file?
