Is PHP list buggy?

Postby JohnPr » 10:50am, Fri 18 Apr, 2014

Did a fresh install. Latest version. Latest mysql.
Got 3 errors:
"Database error 1366 while doing query Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'editable' at row 1"

Could not solve it. Posted a bug report. One week later, no response.
Just figured it out. It is a bug.
So I moved on. But now when creating a new mailing list I get the new error:
"Database error 1366 while doing query Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'active' at row 1"

So stuck again. If nobody can explain where I can find the "active" column and how to solve this, or modify this bug in PHPlist, I give up and find something that is bug free. I am using Webmin as mysql client. PHPlist looks good, but it doesn't work for me.

The 1366 error is possibly due to the mysql STRICT_TRANS_TABLES setting.

See this earlier topic http://forums.phplist.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=39526#p98892.

I have already tried that. Didn't help. In a few hours I am going to try the other mentioned solution. Thanks for the fast response!

As said, modifying the mysql file does not help for me. For me it is /etc/my.cnf (FreeBSD)

Editing the 5 files as suggested in your link, did the trick. The first edit, solved my first problem and one of the others, my other problem. It all looks fine now.
