phpList shows Blank Page after installation

Postby jeeten29 » 5:49pm, Thu 26 Feb, 2015

I have CentOs 6.0 Server. I have installed everything as per requirement.

Now, next step is to Initialize Database. So, I opened it using ip-address/phplist/admin. But it is showing black Page. I deleted it and re-installed phpList but same issue is there. Then, I checked it in Chrome Console, then it is showing 500 Internal Server Error. Check Screen Shot.

Please help me to solve this.

What version are you running please?

With so little info given, possibly down to your using phplist rather then expected default of lists, so you may need to include the following in your config/config.php file.

Code: Select all
# if you change the path to the phpList system, make the change here as well
# path should be relative to the root directory of your webserver (document root)
$pageroot = '/phplist';

Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x

I have rename folder name from "phplist" to "lists".

I am using latest PHP Version 3.0.12 with php version 5.3.3 and mysql version 5.1.73. I have also changed database name, user and password in config/config.php file.

It is showing same thing on all pages.

Can you please have a look at your /lists/.htaccess file, the lines with php_flag should be disabled, ie: they should look like:- #php_flag

That is often the cause of error 500 issues.

.htaccess file is inside "/lists/admin". It does not contain any text like you said.

.htaccess :
"Mailinglist Administration"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /path/to/password/file
require valid-user

There should also be one inside /lists/.htaccess as well.

But I've looked at your signup page and you haven't managed to initalise the database as you have this error showing.
Code: Select all
Database error 1146 while doing query Table 'phplist.phplist_subscribepage' doesn't exist

Looking at the source code for your admin page, your page finishes at:-
<!-- content start here -->

This brings me to wonder if some of your files are missing. Can you please check your server files against the files in the downloaded ZIP to see if any are missing?
