No more reminder to subscribers available?

Postby psykotik » 8:50am, Mon 16 Sep, 2013

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded phplist to version 3.02. I'm mostly very happy with the new version, however...

Has the option to send a reminder to subscribers been removed? I mean, we used to be able to send a reminder to subscribers who signed up and had not confirmed their subscription. I do not see this option anymore.

This options seems to be very important, so I guess I'm just looking for it in the wrong place and it should be still available. Somewhere.

Somebody could kindly help me?

Am I the only one to need such an option? How do you deal with unconfirmed subscribers?

No definitley not missing it............yet

However there is a hack available that will switch the missing Reconcile Subscriber Options back on, though it has only been tested with 2 of the missing options, so extreme caution should be applied if you decide to apply any of the others.

As always before progressing with any hack back up your database and all files you intend to modify.... The link is

Which should come as no surprise to anyone on the forum......

Happy Hacking....

I have no use of the other options, so I've just tried... and seems like it has perfectly worked.

Thanks so much Alan, this was really a missing basic part since the upgrade.

Hello Alan,

After browsing the forums for many years and successfully using phplist, (until recently), I found your post above and the link to your hacks.

I want to thank you for your candid personal comments regarding the program and for supplying such great hacks to phplist, they are wonderful!

I've already implimented the hack for the "Edit & Delete Functions for Sent/Active Messages" and once my current campaign finishes, I'll add the captcha code so that those spammers will finally not be able to spam me to death every day.

Once I figure out why version 3.0.4 is causing many instances of the dreaded "Could not instantiate mail function." with my mailouts, I'll fall back in love with the program again.

Again, thanks a million for all your help and hacks for phplist!

All the best!
