Discrepancy in total number of subscribers

Postby RoyP » 7:14pm, Thu 12 Jun, 2014

I would like to be able to delegate responsibily for maintaning subscriber lists to another administrator (but not a Super Admin). Is this possible?

There are 138 subscribers in total, and this is reported correctly when logged in as a Super Admin. However if I create a new Admin, with ownership of all lists, and log in as that user, the total number of subscribers now shows as 247. If I make that new Admin a Super Admin, the total is back to 138.

What seems to be happening is that each subscriber is listed "n" times, where "n" is the number of lists they have been subscribed to, but this only happens when the logged-in user is not a Super Admin. Exporting the subscriber list confirms this - there are duplicate entries for subscribers who are subscribed to more than one list.

Is there anything I can do to change this behaviour, so that I can delegate admin tasks without causing confusion?

Using phpList 3.0.6

Thanks

This seems to be a bug, now reported in Mantis https://mantis.phplist.com/view.php?id=17218.

Many thanks for checking this out and confirming it as a possible bug.

It would be very useful if simple administration tasks could be delegated without having to make every Admin a Super Admin.
