Problem Process Bounces !

Hello all , good day , i have a probem when i want to process bounces
error message that i get is :

Cannot create POP3 connection to localhost: Can not authenticate to POP3 server: Authentication failed.
Identifying consecutive bounces
Nothing to do
total of 0 subscribers processed

i'm using phplist 3.0.6

My Bounce Management configuraion is :
$message_envelope = 'bounce@mydomain';
$bounce_protocol = 'pop';
$bounce_mailbox_host = 'localhost';
$bounce_mailbox_user = 'bounce@mydomain';
$bounce_mailbox_password = 'oracle1989';
$bounce_mailbox_port = "110/pop3/notls";
$bounce_mailbox = '/var/spool/mail/bounce';
$bounce_mailbox_purge = 1;
$bounce_mailbox_purge_unprocessed = 1;
$bounce_unsubscribe_threshold = 5;

The system is saying that it cannot login to the the bounce mailbox, so you'll need to figure out the correct settings for the bounce mailbox:

- the hostname (this is the computer that contains the mail server for your bounces... could be localhost, you might also want to try the fully qualified domain name).
- the mailbox username: this is typically the bounce email address
- the password: you'll need to know the password for the bounce email address
- the port/type of login... once you get the above settings correct, try the different options in the config file, usually one will work. Another thing I do to set this up is configure my thunderbird email client to successfully check the bounce email mailbox settings, and use those settings as a guide to setting up the config.php file.
