Attachment file size issue after upgrade/reinstall

Postby BillR » 4:04pm, Wed 10 Sep, 2014

Hi,
I was using 3.0.7 and just did a clean install of 3.0.8.
We need to send out a pdf Newsletter but only do so to around 40 members. We hope for more to save snail mailing it.
Previously with 3.0.7 I had no issue with file size. In WordPress it is something like 512 MB.
Now I see in PHPList:
The upload has the following limits set by the server:
Maximum size of total data being sent to the server: 8M
Maximum size of each individual file: 2M

It can;t be that low since WP limit is the 512M.
Have tried creating a local php.ini file with upload_max_filesize = 6M; but it doesn't seem to work. Not sure if I have it in the right place. It's in the PHPlist installation directory.
I definitely didn't need to do this before.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Many Club members distance them from technology and they want an attachment if they sign up for the email.
Thanks in anticipation!
