Command line fails due to comment in config

Postby gunfacts » 4:07pm, Tue 20 Jan, 2015

I must be missing something obvious, so please bear with me.

First attempt at using CLI for processing the queue. When the provided test script failed, I just expanded the variables and ran the entire command from the keyboard.

Basic problem is that PHP (5.5) is not parsing the default section comments in the phplist config file properly (the ones that mark sections with comments in the form of /* comment */). The error message is:

Code: Select all
PHP:  syntax error, unexpected '=' in /homepages/37/d146050845/htdocs/gf-phplist/lists/config/config.php on line 5

And then phplist complains "Cannot find config file".

Fill syntax of command being used is:

Code: Select all
/usr/bin/php5.5-cli -c$HOME/gf-phplist/lists/config/config.php $HOME/gf-phplist/lists/admin/index.php -pprocessqueue

Any thoughts, guidance and assistance is welcome.

The format of your command is a bit odd, where did you see that as an example?

-p and -c are parameters for phplist and I guess that -c is being interpreted as an option to php.

Good call. Where should the -c argument appear (when I move behind -p, the error changes to "Could not open input file: c/kunden/homepages/37/d146050845/htdocs/gf-phplist/lists/config/config.php").

Nevermind. Had a typo in the last attempt. It is working now.
