Attachment filename with non-latin characters

Postby slazaris » 10:02pm, Tue 10 Mar, 2015

In version 3.0.11 it is not possible to attach files with a filename containing non-latin characters. In my case they are Greek characters. As I can see from the error message, it says invalid characters in column filename and I see that the filename is encoded, probably in unicode format. I also see in the repository folder that files are indeed saved with non-readable filenames (reminds me of unicode strings), but the attachments fail to get sent with the message. I suppose it has to do with the encoding of the filename, but I don't know where the corresponding code is. Is there any quick fix for this or any guideline?
Any help is appreciated.
