processqueue by CRON / concurrent processes

Postby zigzagbe » 9:54am, Sat 25 Apr, 2015

Hello,

Let's say we put a CRON each hour to process the queue.
and a list takes 3 days to be sent.

Isn't there a risk we have 72 (3 x 24) active processes, and then slow the server ?

Thanks,
Vince

There will be only one active process. phplist records that processqueue is running, in the table sendprocess, so that when a cron job runs another processqueue that will exit immediately.
