Editing active message in v3 is different from v2

Postby kerberos » 12:11pm, Wed 18 Sep, 2013

Although not as straightforward as in v2, to edit an "active" message in v3, you have to suspend it first (instead of view, as in v2). Then the option to edit is available. Editing must then end in the "Finish" tab: either requeue the message by sending it again, or save it as a draft.

This is problematic, of course, if you want to copy the content, code and all, of a sent message, since the option to suspend it is no longer available. You can instead view the message and then view the html source and copy from there.

Yes, I would like to be able to edit "sent" messages too!

I send a monthly email and use a common format which I just copy from the previous sent message.

I'll have to try cutting the source code out of a "view source" window but that sure is not an easy way to do something that was so simple in V2.

Please add edit back to the "sent" messages!!
