How to embed attached images into a message

Postby arnoldvl » 4:36pm, Sun 20 Apr, 2014

You can do this with the inlineImagesPlugin.

To embed images as inline attachments, merely lay out your message in the editor as you normally would. Once you are satisfied with the layout, then use the editor to go into the source. Then for each embedded image that you want to attach to the message as an inline attachment, edit the image tag to be a member of the CSS class “inline”.

Thus, for example, the image tag <img src="http://myserver.com/myimage.jpg" /> would be changed to <img src="http://myserver.com/myimage.jpg" class="inline" />.

As with the earlier version, the total size of the images attached with this plugin is limited to 100kB.

I have discovered and fixed a serious logic error that could result in jumbling the order of images in a message.

If you have downloaded the inlineImage plugin, please disable the plugin and install the latest version: 2.0a3. When you enable this new version, it will update the plugin's tables in the Phplist database.

Hi Arnoldvl,

I have installed this plugin and been trying desperately to get it to work.

I'm using images that I've created and saved in photoshop, uploading them via the FCK editor and the plugin is not recognizing them as a legitimate image. I am repeatedly seeing the error:

The URL does not reference an image file in <img class="inline" src="imagelocation/test.jpg" alt="" /> where imagelocation is actually the web address.

I've tested the link to ensure it is the correct location. The directory is writeable.

I'm running PHPlist 3.0.6, PHP 5.5.3-1ubuntu2.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
