Add user from website join form

Postby iseande » 1:52pm, Mon 17 Feb, 2014

Hi all,

Can i add the email address from another page on my site with out having to check the database details and upload the date required manually? I have a booking form and would like to add a simple check box to opt in/out of the list when booking online. Is there a PHP page i can include to do this quickly or do i have to write all the code to add the email?

so for example i could just add

include("phplist/addquick.php?email=$meail");

to my form check online and it will add the email and approve it

To integrate your booking application with phplist will need you to develop code. There is a plugin that provides an interface to phplist which might help you, https://github.com/EkAndreas/phplistapi.

I also need this solution.

I want to automatically add new users to my Joomla site to a list in PHPList from a custom registration form.

1. Is there a way to send the information from the email field to the list subscribe url?
Like: <input type="hidden" method="post" ... etc.

2. Is there a way to suppress the PHPList Thank you message? Because all of that is done with the Joomla reg and would be redundant. (Separate confirmation emails is ok, I can tell people about that on the Thank you page)

I'm using chronoforms to create custom forms on Joomla so I can insert any kind of code in the form I need.

I just don't know what code that might be.

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

Best Regards,
Jonathan

If you want to subscribe new Joomla users to phplist but without going through the double opt-in process then you will need to develop php code to update the phplist database. The simplest approach is to use the plugin.

Wait, is there a Joomla plugin for this? Or is it a PHP List plugin?

Either way would you post a link so I can check it out?

Thanks a lot!!

Oh, that. I tried it.

It wouldn't install correctly on PHPList 3. At least I couldn't get it to work.

I don't know code so I'm afraid it needs to be mostly "plug and play".

Thanks for your reply! Have a great day!!

Jonathan

PS I did find a Joomla plugin for J1.5 I'm going to try and update it to work with Jommla3. If I get it to work I'll post i in a new thread for anyone that needs it.
