Redirect Subscribe Page?

Hello everyone. This is my first post/question here.
I am very much a newbie on PhpList and I think it is a great tool- once everything is sorted out. The thing is I am still sorting it out. :? I hope my questions isn't a silly one.

I installed PhpList 3.0 using Softaculous/C Panel. Browser Google Chrome and here's my question. Currently the link of my subscription page is http://phplist.WebsiteName.com/?p=subscribe&id=1. Can I somehow change it or redirect that page to another page/site? Say http://phplist.AnotherName.com/?p=subscribe&id=1.

If it is possible, how do I do it?

Crossing fingers.
*psst.. I'm only good with HTMLs, nothing else. Please be gentle and patient.

Thank you for your time and appreciate any replies. :)

Hi Birth,

One way to do the redirect is to do it through your apache (web server) configuation file.

On a regular website, you can put a 'refresh' command in the header, and it will immediately forward the url to another site. In phplist there is a setting for what goes into the header, it's in the 'config', configuration page, in the 'subscription UI" section.

Here's a page that discusses this:

http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/ApacheRedirect.html

and here's the code that you would add into your header, in the original configuration...
it will refresh the page in 3 seconds, and will send it to the new URL

Code: Select all
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" Content="3; URL=http://www.company.com/dir1/">

Ahh thank you so much danwaterloo! I'm going to take time to understand this but I do understand the basics. Thank you!

Ever since I posted my question I've moved everything to that other url= http://phplist.AnotherName.com/. It has been pretty crazy with link errors and invalid passwords all of a sudden.

I'm still open to any other replies. Thank you so much again danwaterloo! I'll definitely try your method out - in time.
