This seems to work. Remember to clear your cache after you make your changes...that had me going for a while

VIOLA - Perfecto

Works for both Text Links and Image Links with Firefox 3.0.3 on Ubuntu Linux. Had to clear cache, offline content and history, close Firefox and re-open, login and Perfect!

Thanks

I sure am glad this is working for all of you, but its not working for me. This issue does not present itself with any earlier release of PHPLIst, oh BTW.

When I edit the fckeditorcode_gecko.js and save it, kill the cache, even try a different computer, it will not load the FCKeditor toolbars or the body textarea box. It displays nothing.

If I undo what I just did and save it, it still is broken. I have to delete the file, and rename my backup file to the original name. Then the FCKeditor and the text area come back.

So, can someone please tell me what on Earth I am doing wrong?

I should add that when I look and a command line window, the user, group, and permissions on the file does not change when I save it.

Thanks,

Ken

If you are referring to the mailto: email links, this could be related to these FCKeditor bug reports:

Fixed, at least the links bug for Firefox

For what it's worth..

I downloaded FCKeditor 2.6.4 Beta from http://www.fckeditor.net/download and it works fine on Firefox 3.0, so far. At least the link bugs are fixed.

Don't forget to use /FCKeditor with caps for the dir.

Julianna wrote:Here's a better fix for Firefox users (not everyone uses Windows!):

1. ]Download the lastest version of FCKeditor
2. Unzip/untar the file.
3. Rename the folder to FCKeditor (i.e. capitalize the first three letters).
4. Backup your current installation of phplist.
5. FTP to your site and navigate to /lists/admin
6. Delete the folder FCKeditor and all its contents
7. Upload the latest version in its place
8. Test and enjoy!

Happy to report that this fixes all link issues (email, images, URLs) when using FCK with PHPList in Safari 3.2.1 and greater. (FCK 2.6.4 beta)

Thanks.

Well, now in a fresh 2.10.8 install I still get this javascript error and the fix that worked for me previously with 2.10.7 is not working again. So now downloading the latest FCKeditor in hopes that that does the trick.

I don't know about all of you, but I am getting mighty tired of having to apply so many "patches" once I install PHPList for the first time on a server.

That did it. The Nightly build works great.
