[fixed] wrong 'thank you page' with multiple subscribe pages

Postby Guest » 5:21pm, Tue 09 Sep, 2008

Hi,

- I have 2 lists;
- I have 2 spage, one for each list;
- I create a custom subscribe form, following the instructions at docs CustomSubscribeForm

If I subscribe a newsletter through the public page (the standard way) everything runs as it should - Subscribing the list 1, I get the corresponding "thank you page".
And for list 2 the corresponding "thank you page" as well.

Now, when I use the custom subscribe form. I always get the "thank you page" from the first spage.

Things I've checked:
- the users are inserted in the correct list for each case;
- the input hiddens are ok for each case.
-version 2.10.5

Need help!!! [/list]

Interesting problem.

I wonder whether or not including the subscribe page ID in the form action, would or wouldn't make a difference:
Code: Select all
<form method="post" action="http:/mysite.com/lists/?p=subscribe&id=1" name="subscribeform">

The same question might apply to inclusion or non-inclusion of this hidden input tag in your custom forms?
Code: Select all
<input type="hidden" name="listname[1]" value="Newsletter One"/>

If you test it, please let us know about the outcome. The documentation may need to be updated to include this scenario.

It worked for me. Thanks a lot.
So why the documentation says to omit the &id=1?

Thanks for the feedback. No users seem to have reported this issue before (afaik), so I guess the error stayed in the doc without being detected. Your findings will help improve the documentation.

The maintenance of the documentation wiki is a community effort, so if you want, feel free to update the Custom subcribe form documentation.
