Remove default fields from subscribe page, urgent! help!!!

Postby myefs » 3:42pm, Thu 31 Jan, 2013

How do you remove the default fields from the subscribe page. Like the password ones. I don't need people to have a password, I just need them fill in the user attributes I have seted.

Please help it's urgent!

I've never had this option come up for me, but I've traced it to your config/config.php file, around line 145 change
Code: Select all
define("ASKFORPASSWORD",1);

to

Code: Select all
define("ASKFORPASSWORD",0);

And resave your config file.

You'll need to create a new subscribe page.

Login to phpList admin, click Subscribe pages, then create new, (if you leave everything as it is, the new page will remain as the default) but before clicking Save and Activate at the very bottom, give it a title, make any changes in the Intro box that you wish, then you'll see Display Email confirmation, change that to Don't Display Email confirmation. Finally select the list you wish this to apply to, and then Save and Activate.
