Sent test mail to: failed

Postby Camden777 » 5:27pm, Fri 03 May, 2013

Hello

I have been using PHP for several months to send a newsletter out. This month I have not been able to send any test or actual messages. The email addresses that I am trying to send the test messages to are recognised by PHP.

I tried searching the forums and the site too for information but I didn't really understand the other posts. Where do I start? can anybody advise or direct me to a page on PHP that will help?

Thanks

Do you mean PHP, or phpList? If PHP, try http://php.net

If phpList then what has changed this month? If you were able to send newsletters out via phpList until now, then you or your host has changed something. Without more info we are at as much of a loss as you are, sorry.

Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x

I mean PHP lists. I have never had a problem before and nothing has changed. I'm not sure where to start. What extra info do you need and where do I get it from?

Something must have changed because you yourself said:

Check with your host in the first place to see if they've upgraded something or moved you to a new server which could affect your mail settings.

Are you using phpMailer() or SMTP with your own email account?
