Importing a list if users: Send in HTML?

Postby chuckpuckett » 6:32pm, Mon 13 Jan, 2014

Hello again. Typical newbie flurry of questions, sorry about that.
Just realized why, in my little test universe, I was not seeing html formatting when I sent a message. Answer? Because I had not marked the 3 users as "Send in HTML".

OK. I get it. Shift of consciousness as I move from Mailman to phplist. So now, I'll want to add my 2700 users from Mailman in a mass load.

Question: is there a way to also mass load them with "Send in HTML" preset to 1 (true)?

The way my list works, the email is pretty useless (even irritating) without HTML. I didn't see any way on the User's page to change the attribute other than individually, and editing 2700 entries looks about as inviting as Dante's Inferno.

Thanks again for any help here.

Log in to your phpList admin panel, look on the top set of drop downs, hover over Subscribers, then follow the drop down until you see Reconcile Subscribers, click it and lo and behold, a nice new shiny button "Mark All Subscribers to receive HTML", click it, job done.

Sorry, just seen you're using Version 2, not 3.

Same sort of thing, look for the subscribers link and you should find reconcile subscribers and there will be (as I remember) a selection of options including one to set all users to HTML

Latest phpList version is now 3.0.12 (3 February 2015) and requires a minimum of MySQL 5.0 and PHP 5.3.x
