[plugin: Mail2List] Send mail to your list via email client

3rd party code for phpList

Postby SaWey » 6:51pm, Sat 29 Sep, 2007

You still need a cron job for phplist itself, the messages will only be queued in line, this is so it wouldn't interfere with existing configurations.

Got it all and now onto another small issue I'm running into.

The Whitelist. I tried to bypass the whitelist and I could not get it to work, Nothing at all would pass. I then tried to import the whitelist from the users, but users without names will not pass.

How can I either bypass the "name" and filter on the email address only ?

or bypass or toggle the whilist completely ?

Any version using PEAR?

Postby wntdone » 5:43pm, Tue 02 Oct, 2007

This is a wonderful plugin. Takes phplist to the next level for sure..

Just wondering if there is any version of Mailtolist that uses PEAR. My hosting company is Godaddy and doesn't support the imap plugin. I've gotten around it for processing bounces by using PEAR. Was hoping for the same using Mailtolist.

Thoughts?

Still wondering is there is a way to completely bypass the whitelist ?

I'm a little busy at the moment, when I have some time, I'll look into it.

Can't get the script working...

Postby rjscott2005 » 3:35pm, Fri 19 Oct, 2007

As hard as I try, I just can't get the script to work. I've spent about 16 hours on it in the past day and a half. It would be awesome if someone would raise their hand to offer up some assistance. I've been through the documentation for m2l a dozen times and I just don't know what I'm missing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

A couple of notes- When I click the Process new mails button in mailtolist, everything below the orange colored PHPList logout link disappears. It's all white below that point. If I click in the browser's address line and hit Enter, the page reloads but there is no indication that it has done anything.

I can send email to a list from within the GUI with no problems.

I tried running m2l_cron.php from my web browser and the result is a few seconds of "loading..." message in the browser tab then just a white page (I'm fairly sure this indicates a script error).

I tried running from CLI as php m2l_cron.php and get an error in return that says 'Command php m2l_cron.php' failed with return code 255 and error message but I don't see any error message. I'm sure that is buried in a log file somewhere on my server...

So, what else should I try :?:

Auto email from calendar

Postby tsimi » 10:08pm, Mon 26 Nov, 2007

Hi,

Is there a way for phplist to accept an email to forward to a list with out me having to go to the system and OK it first?

My web calendar program will send out an email when an event is due, and I'd like it to send the reminder to phplist to forward to the subscribers.

Thanks
Todd

Internal Server Error / Certificate Failure

Postby Linn » 5:06pm, Thu 21 Feb, 2008

I just installed mail2list. I put "/pop3:110/notls" in the Port-Field (mail2list confguration).

If I now press the "Process new Mails" button, I get a 500 internal server Error

If I leave the Port-Filed empty, a new Page appears after pressing "Process new Mails", with the following content:

Code: Select all
Processing list 'test'
-----------------------------

Status of pop3 connection: Not connected
Certificate failure for #########.de: self signed certificate: /C=de/ST=nrw/L=espelkamp/O=mittwald

All 0 mails sent to liste1@#######.de
have been forwarded to 'test'.

Any idea what could be wrong?

There seems to be something wrong with your certificate,
could you try adding '/novalidate-cert' to your port:
Code: Select all
/pop3:110/notls/novalidate-cert

Could you please check your server error messages and report them?

Maybe this will work
Code: Select all
/pop3:995/notls/ssl/novalidate-cert

Don't forget the starting '/'

I tried

Code: Select all
/pop3:995/notls/ssl/novalidate-cert

And I get:

Code: Select all
Status of pop3 connection: Not connected
Can't connect to #######.de,995: Connection refused

Of cource I checked that username/password are correct (via copy/paste => no misspelling).
