Filling List-Unsubscribe field from special list

Postby Ras » 9:16am, Thu 26 Jun, 2014

Hi,
is there possibility to fill List-Unsubscribe field from special list?
E.g. I have a table (csv-file) similar to the following (export from my forum database):
User email list-unsubscribe
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subscriber 1 abc@abc.com http://mysite.com/.../?abc@abc.com
Subscriber 2 xyz@xyz.com http://mysite.com/.../?xyz@xyz.com

So is there possibility to send e-mail like this:

<e-mail headers>
List-Unsubscribe: <http://mysite.com/.../?abc@abc.com>,<mailto:unsubscribe@mysite.com?subject:unsubsribe>
<e-mail headers>
<e-mail body>
Hello Subscriber 1
etc.
etc.
to unsubscribe click here (http://mysite.com/.../?abc@abc.com)
<the end of the e-mail>

Thanks in advance!
Sorry for my English - it's not my native language

phpList does perform the function you describe, but not in the way you have described. the headers in the email are as follows:

Code: Select all
X-Priority: 3
X-Mailer: PHPMailer 5.2.5 (https://github.com/Synchro/PHPMailer/)
X-phpList-version: 3.0.5
X-MessageID: 272
X-ListMember: abc@abc.com
Precedence: bulk
Bounces-To: bounces@mailbox.com
List-Help: <http://domain.com/lists/?p=preferences&uid=9bd606370e1091afb9b5e42ae8bebabe>
List-Unsubscribe: <http://domain.com/lists/?p=unsubscribe&uid=9bd606370e1091afb9b5e42ae8bebabe&jo=1>
List-Subscribe: <http://domain.com/lists/?p=subscribe>
List-Owner: <mailto:webmaster@mailbox.com>

phpList uses a 'uid', which is unique to each user.
To accomplish what you describe, you would import your list into a list within phplist, and send a campaign to your imported list.

hi,
am I right, that phplist generates UID and I cannot use (define) my own UIDs? And I cannot add my own strings (look at ",<mailto:unsubscribe@mysite.com?subject:unsubsribe>" in my first post) to e-mail headers (List-Subscribe, List-Unsubscribe, etc.)?

Also I took a look on phplist demo website and I did not find where I can define Precedence field (In your example Precedence:bulk, but sometimes it must be list)?
