Forcing a seed to receive more than one email per campaign

Postby BlueSpaces » 7:32pm, Fri 05 Dec, 2014

Sorry the title of this post is confusing. I have a single campaign that I'm sending to multiple lists, but I'm only sending one list at a time. I have a group of seed subscribers in each list.

For each time I send the same campaign to a list, I want the seeds to receive an email. In other words I want to override the phplist behavior to never send the same campaign more than once (of course, only for these particular subscribers).

Any way to do that, or do I just need to start a new campaign for each list?

Thanks Andrew

Andrew -
The database table usermessage has one record for each message sent to each user, so a typical line might be
Code: Select all
messageid  userid  entered             viewed         status
    22      226    2014-05-28 23:53:31  NULL          sent

so if you know the userids of the users you wish to receive multiple messages you can delete the relevant lines from the database after each run, either by running a database query like
DELETE FROM `sitename_usermessage` WHERE messageid=22 AND userid=226
or if you have phpMyAdmin use that to delete the relevant records.

Great - thanks for your help. I can make a simple script to do that.
