How to use API calls to PHPList functions?

Postby mpattanaik7 » 11:39am, Wed 07 Nov, 2012

I want to use APIs to make calls to the PHPList functionality like for user subscription to newsletter and emails stuffs and for unsubscribing also from the subscription list.

1> Is there any API provided by PHPList to use in any application?
2>Any alternative suggestion for using Web Service API is also welcome?

Thanks

I have the same question too - for a PHP-based control panel on admin.mydomain.com, while PHPList is installed on email.mydomain.com, is there a way to add/mod/del users & lists, send emails, etc. through PHPList programmatically from scripts running on admin.mydomain.com. If so, is there documentation on how to do this?

Edit: A good question to ask would probably also be - how complicated is it to directly edit the database? E.g. will PHPList die in a fire if you perform MySQL queries on just the user table without changing anything else?

Hi,

is there any answer to this kind of need ?
I would need to send an HTML email to a distribution list from within PHP function.

Something like phplist_send_email(HTMLcontent, template, list)

any hint welcome !

In the Contributions forum there are a few API-type modules but are now quite old and not supported.

This project on GitHub https://github.com/EkAndreas/phplistapi is recent and, if you can code in php, then easy to extend.
