Help with email headers / using

Postby Guest » 12:48pm, Mon 19 Jan, 2009

Having defined the following in the config.php file, does the message header below look correct?

Having set up the parameters in the config file to use gmail as my smtp, I wasn't expecting to see details of my web host in my message headers. :?

I'm using version 2.10.8 and have not implemented any changes to header code as seen in some threads, but would like to set up SPF which this may have a bearing on.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Obviously I've modified some of the address details in the following to avoid spammers etc and ease of reading.

Not sure you can avoid that on a shared hosting account. I am not familiar with the exact SPF requirements, and am not sure whether that will pose a problem when setting up SPF. Another authentication system, Domainkeys appears to work in a shared hosting environment, or that is what this post would suggest:
