How to disable double-opt in?

Postby artcoder » 10:02pm, Mon 05 Mar, 2007

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to go about altering the code to disable double opt-in? I just want it so that if anyone enters an email address, they are automatically subscribed without having to click the confirmation link.

Well, here is another possible solution suggested by hershel:

Code: Select all
<input type=hidden name="makeconfirmed" value="1">

Keep in mind that "double opt-in" is required by law in many countries. I strongly recommend you check your legal position before removing the confirmation email feature.
